Time Zone Converter
Convert any time between major world time zones. Daylight saving is handled automatically — what you see is what people in that city would actually see on their clock.
How this converter works
Pick a date and time, the city or zone they apply to, then choose one or more destination zones. The tool builds a precise UTC instant from your input, then renders that instant in each target zone using your browser's built-in IANA time-zone database. Because the IANA database tracks daylight-saving rules historically and prospectively, conversions are accurate across DST transitions.

Tips for scheduling across time zones
- Always send invitations in UTC or with explicit zone names. Sending "3pm" without a zone is the #1 source of missed meetings.
- Watch for DST mismatches. The US and EU don't switch on the same weekend, which means transatlantic meeting times can shift by an hour twice a year.
- India and Iran use 30-minute offsets; Nepal uses a 45-minute offset. Don't assume every zone is a whole hour from UTC.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool handle daylight saving time?
Yes. Conversions use the IANA time-zone database via your browser, which knows the historical and current DST rules for each region.
Why does the result sometimes land on a different date?
If the source and destination zones are far apart (for example, Los Angeles and Tokyo), the same instant can be on a different calendar day in each location. The converter shows the date so you can see when the rollover happens.
What format is the time in?
Inputs use 24-hour time (00:00–23:59). Output shows both 24-hour and the local 12-hour format with AM/PM.
